Baby on board!
Well, I am having trouble keeping up with my blog posts! I guess its understandable considering I have a two year old - The Bean - at home with me and another one (a boy) on the way! My due date is December 8th, but most likely our little man will be arriving much sooner so we're expecting him to grace us with his presence in November sometime! My life as a mommy and photographer gets more interesting all the time! It's a daily learning process. Anyway, just wanted to share the news. Have a great day, everyone!

Tips for Taking Great Photos!
Hey everyone!
In lou of the Cutest Kid, Most Rockin' Family & Precious Pet photo contest, I am sharing some simple techniques to help improve the composition of your digital photos.
Tip #1
Don't shoot your subject straight on.
Shoot from up above or down below - anything to get a fresh perspective!
Tip #2
Don't be afraid to get close up!
Tip #3
Pay attention to the background - be aware of your surroundings.
This is simple - any snapshot looks better when there's a simple background as opposed to a room littered with toys or a sink full of dirty dishes.
Tip #4
Get down on your subject's level.
Tip #5
Stay from dead center.

SAVE THE DATE!
Hey Everyone!
I am going to have a day of mini-photo sessions in March, probably Saturday the 20th. What is a mini photo session? I'll take your family, children's photos - whatever you wish - for about an hour at a designated location for $75! Think about it - an outdoor session for nearly half the price! This would be a great time to take a spring family photo or sweet Easter pics of the kids in their Easter clothes.
I'll keep you all posted on the details as the date approaches - but SAVE THE DATE! Mark your calendars now because space will fill up quickly! I will only have a limited number of session spots.

After much thought, I have decided to apply a permanent discount to School Employees (anyone working at a school), Public Service officials (firefighters, police officers & military) and Pastors. The discount will be an automatic 20% off the sitting fee. Just show me your badge, or some other form of identification proving that you work where you say you do and you'll get a discount! I hope this helps all of those who work so hard to help teach our children, protect us and keep us safe, foreign and domestic! THANK YOU! =0)

Chuck & Abbey's Wedding
Chuck and Abbey's wedding was so sweet... a quaint ceremony at the bride's parents house on a December evening. It may have been freezing outside, but it was warm with love inside the Young's house. Everyone seemed to have a special glow about them. Part of what was so sweet about all of it was the sentimental details that were EVERYWHERE... Abbey's mom, Kathy (the sweetest mother of the bride ever!) replaced all of the framed photos in the house with photos of the couple since they've been dating, as well as engagement and bridal portraits. The beautiful bride readied herself to see her soon-to-be husband in the room she grew up in! Everything was so special and rightly so, because this my friends, is a very special couple. They're going places!
Congrats, Chuck & Abbey!

New on the Block... I mean Blog
Well, it's been on the 'to-do list' for several months now... so I'm finally getting my act together and creating a blog. This will be a place to post photos of recent shoots, tips and tricks for taking your own fabulous photos, as well as updates on new products, sales and other LJP promotions. I have some new ideas for 2010 and am really excited about all of them! In the next few post, I will catch everyone up on the last two months of shoots!
In the meantime, here's the lastest of my sweet Hannah. Enjoy! =0)
